Katrina and Maria’s love packed Estes Park Wedding was full of beautiful feminine energy and the natural beauty that nature brings. Katrina and Maria (Nanda) met their freshmen year at Rockhurst University. Nanda was first to pop the question during an otherwise quiet and unassuming night of tequila and leftovers at home. Katrina was completely floored by her ask and actually proposed later, including both dogs Dante, the chihuahua wearing a tux tie collar, and Riley, the Rottweiler wearing a “will you marry my mom?” bandana. The two mutually agreed and were excited for a lifetime together.
The choice to make Estes Park their location was easy as Katrina’s family has traveled to the valley every summer for over 30 years. The two knew they would feel embraced by the meaning and love that the natural beauty of Estes offered.
The couple wanted the feel of their day to be feminine focused modern yet cozy day with emphasis on an autumn color pallet and natural textiles. Nanda brought Katrina to Twin Owls Steakhouse during a family trip for the couple’s 8th anniversary. They were so impressed with the ambiance and incredible food of Twin Owls Steakhouse. Upon their first visit, everything changed once they both realized there was a micro-wedding occurring on the outdoor deck. They shared a glance and both felt the same thing: They would have their big day here.
It was so special to see their vision come to life after a year of planning and the day was full of love and special moments. Prior to the wedding, the couple shared memorable moments getting ready in the bridal suite with moms and flower girl. They remember the staff at Taharaa going out of their way to accommodate all requests. They recall the entire day feeling like a dream.
A Wedding Weekend at Taharaa Mountain Lodge
Estes Park was the optimal destination and allowed for their guests to
enjoy a complete wedding weekend. Here at Taharaa Mountain Lodge, you can have your guests stay right on-site to make their stay easy and enjoyable! We have 18 rooms, and each accommodates 2 adults. We do require a three-night stay, but this will let your guests really enjoy Estes Park and our amenities at the Lodge. On-site we have an outdoor Hot Tub, and our restaurant,

Our location also allows guests to be able to choose various activities to enjoy during their time here, which will truly make their trip to the wedding even more memorable! We are currently booking for 2022 and 2023,
