Leah and David’s mountain casual wedding in Estes Park was so much fun to host! The couple met back in 7th-grade orchestra, and the rest is history! David proposed to Leah at Arches National Park on a hot August day in 2019. He was horribly nervous and was nearly dragging her up to Delicate arch to get the lighting and the timing just right. It was sweaty, exhausting, and everything they ever wanted in a proposal. Everyone around the arch clapped, and it was like a Hollywood movie!
After the engagement, they started planning their big day! They fell in love with Estes Park back in June 2020 when they were traveling across the country to their new home in Ohio. They woke up before sunrise to see Rocky Mountain National Park, drank coffees out near the river, and marveled at elk walking around town casually. It really felt like home away from home for them. They knew it would be the perfect location for their wedding day.

They decided to host their celebration here at Taharaa after reading amazing reviews they saw online. When they spoke to Kathy here at Taharaa, it felt like they had known her for years. Kathy was able to anticipate all of their needs and knew exactly what kind of “vibe” they were going for. After needing to change their plans three times due to Covid, getting married with family in attendance at Taharaa felt like the perfect decision. They told us later that it was 1000% the right choice.
Leah’s favorite moment from the wedding day was their first look in Rocky Mountain National Park. She whispered ‘hi’ into his ear, and he said “do I turn around?” because he didn’t want to “mess up the pictures!” His reaction was so sweet, and at that moment, it felt like it was just them in the entire park.
