Accessibility: All common areas are accessible to the physically challenged guest. For your added convenience, there is an elevator in the Lodge. The Rocky Mountain Jim King Lodge Room is ADA-accessible. 

Children: While we are happy to have your younger guests participate in your events, we do not offer lodging accommodations for children under the age of 13. 

Smoking Policy: The entire Lodge, including guest rooms and guest room decks, Great Room, Great Room Deck, outdoor Gazebo, and Pergola are smoke-free environments (including, but not limited to: cigarette, cigar, marijuana, vaping, candle and incense smoke). There is a designated smoking area outside the lodge. Upon departure, if smoke is detected in any areas that guests have occupied, the areas will be professionally steam-cleaned, and the expense of $250.00 per guest room and $500.00 per common area will be billed to the guest’s credit card on file. 

Pets: The Taharaa Mountain Lodge does not accommodate pets (with the exception of certified Service Animals). 

Occupancy: All lodging guests must have a bed. Rooms with one bed can accommodate a maximum of two adult guests; rooms with a pull-out couch can accommodate a maximum of three adult guests. A $25 charge per day, will be applied for an additional guest. The following rooms allow for 3 guests: Buckskin Charlie and Winchester Junior Suites. The Cattle Baron Premium Suite will allow up to 4 guests. A $25 per person, per day, will be applied for those additional guests. 

Check-In/Check-Out: Check-in is from 3pm to 5pm, daily; both late and early check-ins are available upon request. Check-out time is 11 am.

Recommended Vehicles: For Winter & Spring visits to the Rockies and to Taharaa, we strongly advise you select a vehicle with all-wheel or 4-wheel drive. 

Minimum Stay Requirements: A minimum two-night stay is required for all reservations from November through April. May through October, a minimum of three-night stay is required.
* For May – August 2020, we are adjusting our minimum stay policy to a two night minimum. 

Room Rates: Low Season rates are in effect from November through April, excluding holidays. High season rates are in effect from May through October. Prices are subject to change without notice. 

Deposit Policy: Upon making your reservation, we require a deposit in the amount of half of your total (estimated) bill. The remaining balance will be due ten days before your arrival.
* For all Event Blocked Reservations, the remaining balance will be due 30 days prior to the event. 

* Due to the increased number of cancellations because of Covid-19, deposits refunds will be process 30 days after cancellation request has been made. 

Booking within 10 days: Bookings with in 10 days of arrival will be charged the entire amount of reservation. 

Cancellation Policy: Deposits are refundable (less a $25 cancellation fee) for a cancellation made more than ten days before your scheduled arrival. No refunds will be given for cancellations made fewer than ten days from the date of your scheduled arrival.

Damages:  Any damages found in your room upon departure shall be assessed accordingly, and charges billed to the credit card on file. 

Items Left Behind: We will make every effort to return items left behind. You will receive an email within 48 hours to notify you of the item(s) we have recovered, and they will be shipped to you via the method of your choosing.
