Mike and Abby’s beautiful day in Estes Park came to be way back in high school where they two met after a movie double date. Mike proposed on Abby’s birthday on a cold Wisconsin February day. After the cold weather changed some of their plans Mike decided to host an intimate dinner for the two of them complete with Leon Bridges’ “Mrs.” playing in the background where he got down on one knee. For the two homebodies, it was perfect.

Bright and Casual Wedding in Estes Park

The couple has visited Estes Park for the last 7 years and it is where Abby told Mike that it was the place she where wanted to get married. She started dreaming up her magical day after their first visit together.

The two decided on Taharaa because the lodge had everything they envisioned and more. They fell in love with space especially the Deck area with breathtaking views. The couple knew they wanted a venue that combined food and beverage packages. They appreciated having everything on site as it allowed for stress-free planning. Abby let Estes Park and the lodge shine with minimal flowers and decor instead allowing the beauty of nature in.

Abby truly believes that her wedding day was the best day ever. She was blown away by every detail and appreciated how much fun everyone had. The couple was very impressed with the lovely coordinator here at Taharaa, Kathy. They appreciated her communication, attention to detail and overall kindness making it a true day to remember. The couple also enjoyed Chef Rich and his team’s talent and quality.
