How They Met
Zack and Kass’s love story began in college, where they initially met while Kass was dating Zack’s roommate. Life took them on different paths, but fate had other plans. Zack moved back to Denver a couple of years later, and the two reconnected, leading to a blossoming romance.
The Proposal
Zack’s proposal to Kass was nothing short of clever and heartwarming. Knowing Kass was impossible to surprise, Zack devised a plan that started one Friday morning at their home in Arvada. Kass woke up to find notes on her mirror, telling her she didn’t need to go to work and to come downstairs when ready. As she descended the stairs, she found Zack on one knee. Despite having hurt his knee skiing the day before and needing help to get up, Zack managed to surprise her with a weekend getaway at the Garden of the Gods resort, complete with a couples massage, chocolate-covered strawberries, and a bottle of wine. It was a proposal filled with love and surprises!
Why Estes Park?
For their wedding, Zack and Kass chose Estes Park, Colorado, to bring the beauty of the outdoors inside. They wanted a location that felt like a destination but was still accessible. While they hoped for snow, they were blessed with a beautifully sunny day in February, creating the perfect backdrop for their special day.

Taharaa Mountain Lodge was the perfect choice for Zack and Kass. The lodge’s size and stunning views matched their vision of a rustic yet modern venue that could comfortably accommodate their guests while maintaining an intimate and cozy atmosphere.
