Aly and Grant Simon’s love story began in their freshman year of high school in Denver, Colorado. Grant asked Aly to homecoming that year, and while they didn’t date at the time, they remained close friends. Years later, in 2017, life brought them both back to Denver, and they rekindled their romance. When it came time to propose, Grant honored their roots by recreating his sweet homecoming invitation—this time under a tree in their front yard with a handwritten note and a single rose.

The couple envisioned a wedding in the Colorado mountains, where they both grew up, but they hadn’t spent much time in Estes Park.
